Falcon development got its start in 1991 when Jason Austin, our founder, was in high school. Jason did not begin with software solutions but rather made headway in Computer-Aided Design(CAD) as a teenager. Jason gained recognition in the CAD community by competing in the worldwide VICA and achieved tenth place worldwide. This was a turning point that gave Jason guidance that he wanted to work with computers, specializing in CAD.

When Jason turned fifteen, he continued designing CAD models by working for Ham Construction. With Ham Construction, he got an insight into what a company was and how to run one. With this business insight under his belt, Jason started his own floor designing business after high school. This venture turned out to be promising, but then he came upon a wall: Ham Construction’s partnership fell through.

This sour development put Jason at a crossroads. He saw he did not have the equipment necessary to construct buildings because his domain of business expertise was with CAD; he lacked the infrastructure for building construction. Jason mulled over what path to take so he conducted some introspection. He came to realize his talents were never with CAD itself, but rather with his aptitude with computer software. The reason he had been so successful in CAD had been his ability to adapt to software and not design skills. Upon this newfound self-understanding, Jason pivoted his floorplan design business into a business in software development.

This new rendition of his business came ever-closer to what we now call Falcon Development. The company first went through a transition period where Jason had to hire new software-oriented employees and phase out workers in floorplan design. This company trimming saw Jason buying out his previous business partners so that we, Falcon Development, could be the great company Jason envisioned.

Part of Jason’s vision is putting customer satisfaction first. For this purpose, he has built a company made to be agile and not hampered by unnecessary bureaucracy. We do constant research to be prepared to deal with demand in emerging technologies our customers come to love. We are quick to adapt to consumer and technological trends and we have Jason’s company model to thank for that.
